The Global Black Belt Channel Sales Director - Business Applications is a senior sales role responsible for driving strategic and commercial sales opportunity creation and acceleration. As an integral part of the Global Black Belt (GBB) sales team, this role will bring joint accountability for partner engagement to the sales process through alignment to the managed partner ecosystem.
The Global Black Belt Channel Sales Director - Business Applications will be accountable for significantly advancing Microsoft Dynamics’ ability to drive net new revenue, through and with our Global Systems Integrators (GSI), Systems Integrators (SI) and Independent Software Vendors (ISV) ecosystem. This accountability includes development of a global strategy, working through global and local sales teams to align the partner ecosystem and Microsoft resources for joint opportunity creation. This role will also be accountable for developing a clear business rhythm for each opportunity, managing the business toward clear industry growth targets with the GBB managers and drive earlier integration and attach in the sales process.
Responsibilities
The Global Black Belt Channel Sales Director - Business Applications is a Business Applications (Biz Apps) expert providing leadership, business insight and individual contribution to the definition of the partner mapping and sales execution at each account to drive Business Applications sales. This role will not own resources in the field but should influence the direction to be a source of inspiration and guidelines around the performance of the results. The role will be supported in the execution by the Business Applications Global Sales Execution Team (GBB), and the go-to-market (GTM) Enablement Team, and will be capable of individual contribution and influence across non-direct reporting teams along with the large team of experienced senior sales professionals.
Own strategy and business plan execution across the GSI, SI and ISV ecosystem in order to drive net new sales opportunity creation with those partners in assigned region, integrated with the Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions Time Zone (TZ) Leads and their aligned counterparts in GSI/Alliance and the Global ISV organization within Global Partner Solutions (GPS).
Own ecosystem alignment with Biz Apps Global Black Belt (GBB) sales executives and Biz Apps Global Industry Leads on emerging opportunity development and set a rhythm of the business for joint accountability
Develop a regionally aligned sales model framework with clear ownership of specific opportunities in our sales areas, directly supporting the GBB team in opportunity creation and acceleration
Assure Business Applications capabilities are represented in every account or bridge plan for lighthouses and market making customers and leverage GPS execution to support the pipeline progression and closing of Business Applications engagements with GBB
Work in concert with the GSI/SI and the Global ISV organization within GPS, to align GPS mission and sales objectives
Develop and manage expectations evolving the definition of strategic partnership within the Microsoft partner community
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
7+ years technology-related sales or account management experience
OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 6+ years technology-related sales or account management experience
4+ years of experience working in/with Global System Integrators (GSIs), Systems Integrators (SIs), or Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).
Experience selling business applications technology.
Preferred Qualifications
15+ years of experience building deep, multifaceted relationships with top SaaS focused partners on a global scope (partner or customer) with industry specific experience. Should have demonstrated excellent business judgment and results. A track record of sales excellence and performance across all distribution channels.
Ability to work effectively across a highly matrixed internal organization.
Experience operating in ambiguous enviroments with ability to solve large customer challenges.
Executing strategically on business issues and organizational strategy.
Experience presenting complex concepts internally (e.g., to Sales teams) and externally (in front of senior client or at events).
Experience in dealing with senior stakeholders; networking and influencing skills. Ability to lead and influence extended teams without formal reporting-line authority.
Solution Area Specialists IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $122,400 - $216,500 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $166,100 - $235,000 per year.
