The GIS Unit Manager position manages the day-to-day activities of the GIS Unit and assists the deputy administrator in determining short and long-range goals and objectives associated with the Unit’s activities. The incumbent develops and implements strategies, processes, goals, and objectives to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of projects and provides advanced technical assistance; interprets state and federal laws, statutes, rules, and regulations for assigned staff, other agencies, and the public. This position reports to the deputy administrator and supervises unit staff.
