The GIS Analyst will use various geospatial technology available to interpret data, design, and create final cartographic deliverables for the client. The analyst should be able to find, understand, and utilize different kinds of data from multiple online resources including: USGS, USDA, OGRIP, and/or any other federal, state, and local government information. The GIS Analyst will report directly to the GIS Operations Manager to coordinate projects, workload, and for technical support.QualificationsMinimum of a bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or related technical field.Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, or advanced degree with 2 years of relevant GIS experience.Demonstrated proficiency using ArcPro 3.x and/or ArcMap 10.x for advanced editing, geoprocessing, georeferencing, and layout creation.Demonstrated ability in map layouts and deliverables.Use of AcrGIS Online, including experience with Esri's field data collection applications, including Survey123 and Field Maps, and web applications, including story maps, preferred.Working knowledge of different data types with the ability to rectify data between different programs.Experience with Spatial and 3D Analyst extensions a plus.Ability to develop tools focused on process improvement and workflow automation (Python, Model Builder, etc.) a plus.Experience with AutoCAD, remote sensing, drones/LiDAR, Arc Hydro, raster analysis, statistical packages, and/or GPS data collection packages a plus.Ability to collaborate with other GIS staff, biologists, and project managers to meet project goals.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.High attention to detail while working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and directly with others.Experience with fieldwork and availability for overnight travel a plus.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
