Summary:
The Geospatial Analyst II performs advanced duties of a geospatial analyst, including processing and analyzing remote sensing data. This role provides support in survey, cartography, data manipulation, geographic information analysis, and database management for all phases of wind, solar, transmission and energy storage projects. The position requires knowledge and experience working with survey and remote sensing data. Additionally, the Geospatial Analyst II works collaboratively with teammates and demonstrates leadership qualities while ensuring project completion.
Requirements:
Processes and analyzes photogrammetric and lidar data.
Gathers, analyzes, and integrates spatial data from internal teams.
Utilizes geospatial data from a variety of sources including census, field observation, satellite imagery, aerial photographs, ALTA surveys, engineering documents, etc.
Supports project teams and surveying by converting and creating files, including for use in machine control.
Leads data processing and analytics to ensure timely project completion.
Trains and mentors junior staff.
Prioritizes projects, seeking guidance when needed.
Prepares and manages metadata.
Supports projects by presenting requested information, answering questions, and leading meetings.
Performs surface comparison and quantity calculations.
Supports survey and remote sensing staff by providing guidance and support files.
Operates Company aligned vehicle for site and surveying visits. Drives between site locations during daytime and nighttime hours and in varying weather conditions in order to complete site surveys.
Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.

Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
GIS/CAD software (ArcGIS, Global Mapper, AutoCAD).
Microsoft Office (Excel including data sorting and filtering, charts, formatting, pivot tables, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience with remotely-sensed data processing and analytics.
Ability to lead projects to completion.
Detail-oriented.
Quality control and assurance.
Ability to work & learn independently.
Ability to work professionally with clients, vendors, employees, managers, and supervisors.
Knowledge of survey, including experience using Trimble GPS survey equipment, is preferred.
Experience using lidar scanners is preferred.
Experience working with methods used to interchange CAD data with GIS data.
Functional competencies include attention to detail, excellence, collaboration, prioritization, and ethics & integrity.
Qualifications:
Highschool diploma, GED, or equivalent, required.
Bachelor’s degree in UAV/Drone Science, Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems, Cartographic Science, Geodetics, or six years’ equivalent experience, required.
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot license, preferred.
3 or more years of experience in data processing or utilization of GIS/CAD software, required.
3 or more years of experience in remote sensing or survey data experience, required.
1 or more years of experience in drone and/or survey field experience, preferred.
Ability to travel 5 to 15% domestically and internationally.
Must possess a valid Driver’s license.
Anticipated base salary range: $80,000 - $90,000
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
