Who We Are
Facilities Analytics & Mapping serves as the official keeper of the campus map and space inventory data, including floor plans and digital building models. In addition, the department oversees state and federal reporting related to space quantity use.

As a Geospatial Analyst I, you will do just that as you assist with the implementation of key projects and identify opportunities where geospatial analysis can provide solutions to complex issues. You will utilize your expertise in geospatial software and analysis to organize and visualize geospatial data, contributing to the development of campus maps. Supporting campus operations, your responsibilities may include creating data dashboards, enhancing routing networks, and generating ad hoc geospatial reports. Your efforts will make geospatial information more accessible to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Exceptional communication, organizational, and customer service skills are essential components of your job, guaranteeing a high standard of service across all aspects of your responsibilities.
What You Need To Know
Salary is commensurate with experience with anticipated starting range between $54,200 – $59,700

This position is located in College Station, TX. Remote/Work from alternate location is not available at this time.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Forestry, GIS, Geography, Spatial Sciences, Math, Statistics) or equivalent combination of education and experience
2 years of related experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
Knowledge of concepts and processes of geospatial analysis and relevant geospatial software
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
A high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data analysis and map production
Experience with data collection, digitization, and spatial data editing
Knowledge of cartography and map design principles
Experience in Geodatabase management and design
