DESCRIPTION OF WORKGain valuable experience in data preservation and organization through this internship opportunity. As an intern, you will have the chance to assist with various tasks such as cataloging, photographing, visiting collecting localities, and identifying geologic samples. Additionally, you will be responsible for entering information into a database and supporting the survey staff with office, field, and laboratory projects. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employmentThe employment period will occur between the dates of 5/1/24 - 8/30/24.Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONSInternship Requirements:Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree, or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable majors:GeologyEnvironmental ScienceChemistryEnrollment in an approved major course in the physical or natural science, engineering, or recreation major course of study at an accredited college or university may be acceptable.Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)Freshman year completed.Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university
Additional Requirements:This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.You must be able to perform essential job functions.
