Verdantas is a national consulting group seeking a talented Geologist to join our team in the Orlando, FL Office.

We are seeking a passionate Geologist to join our team and play a crucial role in advancing our environmental initiatives. As a Geologist, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with professional experts to make a difference in the communities that we live in.
Key Responsibilities:
Performs complex field tasks, including data measurement and collection, operation and maintenance of remediation systems, troubleshooting, construction observation, and environmental drilling oversight
Coordinates internal resources and subcontractors
Reviews regulations and standards to conduct technical studies and carries out project design and permitting work
Prepares field notes and related documentation in accordance with company standards
Prepares submittals, including proposals, estimates of cost, regulatory and client submittals, regulatory permit applications, and design packages
Maintains and runs reports using internal databases
Retrieves necessary data using online databases, off-line records, and other means
Applies knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and regulatory programs
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Geology
5-8 years of relevant experience with at least one year of HEC Software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS) experience
GIT or PG certification required
Experience developing a fully integrated design package and working with AutoCAD in a professional environment
Excellent written and research skills
Ability to conduct fieldwork with some heavy lifting
Proficient with MS Office suite of products, database experience preferred
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus
Previous consulting experience is a plus
Must have a personal vehicle for independent transportation to work sites
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
