　　Roles and Responsibilities :

　　Plans, coordinates, and directs the day-to-day operation of all train service in the Hoboken District. Reacts to service disruptions, coordinates with other operating agencies and performs public relations.

　　Coordinates with the Mechanical department to ensure the day-to-day running repairs of rolling stock assigned to the Hoboken District.

　　Coordinates with the Infrastructure department to ensure the day-to-day infrastructure repairs in the Hoboken District. Maintains compliance with FRA and NJ Transit construction codes and standards.

　　Directs external relations with customers, local officials, advisory boards and adjacent property owners.

　　Directs the implementation and administration of NJ Transit Rail's system-wide Safety Program. Conducts employee and passenger forums. Administers D & A Program and monitoring of on-going training and counseling.

　　Knowledge and Skills:

　　Baccalaureate Degree in Transportation, Business Administration or related area, or equivalent.

　　Ten (10) years of rolling stock maintenance experience, including increasingly responsible management experience to include direct supervision of agreement and non-agreement employees.

　　One year of closely related experience can be substituted for one year of education required.
