Job Description
General Labor
Job Purpose/Summary:
This position could work in any department of the production facility;Processing, Ground Beef, Roast Room or Value Added.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Positions may involve the use of a knife and hook to bone out or trimmeat, sorting, labeling, bagging and boxing various meat cuts or the useor operation of powered equipment, such as saws, skinners, Multi-Vacs,Cryovac machines etc. Most positions require the ability to push, pull,carry and lift 40 pounds or more and use of hands and arms aboveshoulder level and walk and stand 8-12 hours a day on a hard surface.Work is performed in cold/wet environments.
Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced environment; wearing allsafety equipment required. All positions will be for A (day) shift. Thefacility runs 5 to 6 days a week, Monday-Friday/Saturday with some areasof the facility that may work an occasional Sunday. Previous knifeskills are preferred but not required.
All job offers are based on conditions that the candidate can pass aurinalysis screening, which is part of the post-offer health assessment.Mechanical aptitude, skills and experience preferred but not required.
Candidates who have previous worked for Tyson have a 3 time rule and 180day waiting period.
