Consultants please conduct a seated interview. Applicants must have 20days experience with Farm / Irrigation / Livestock work. Applicantshired must be able to obtain a valid driver\'s license as driving onpublic roads may be required. Applicants must be able to lift up to 100pounds. Dates of need are (3/15/2024 11/15/2024) This order is for workin Eden, Idaho area. Job Duties may require a split shift whenirrigating. Worker will be required to perform a variety of dutiesrelated to the production of sugar beets, alfalfa, beans, barley andlivestock. The majority of the work activities during the overallcontract period, however, will be related to general farmwork/irrigation/crop production. General Farm Work will include thefollowing responsibilities: maintain, drive, attach and operate farm;implements/tractors/equipment to till soil, plant, cultivate, fertilizeand harvest crops; make minor mechanical adjustments and repairs on farmmachinery; may mix and/or spray chemicals (according to appropriaterestrictive use laws, when/if applicable); paint farm structures;replace/repair fencing; drive, load/unload trucks; operate motor bike orall-terrain vehicle in the course of performing duties. Irrigationduties will include the following: Hand lines: connect pipes; checkalignment of pipe and adjust for proper water distribution; attach linesto water supply; turn on pump; turn valves to start flow of water;disassemble lines and carry pipes across fields at specified intervals;move pipes through freshly irrigated crops and/or plowed fields wheremud may be deep at times; lift and carry pipe sections weighingapproximately 40 pounds on a sustained basis. Wheel lines: startgasoline engines and operate controls to move lines across fields atspecified intervals. Pivots: push on switch that activates circlesprinkler system. Other Irrigation Duties: remove pipes/wheel lines fromstorage and lay out/place in predetermined patterns in fields;lubricate, adjust, repair and replace parts such as sprinklerheads/drive chains and gear boxes using hand tools; observe revolvingsprinklers and adjust to ensure proper operation and uniformdistribution of water; disassemble, service and storepipes/mainlines/wheel lines after irrigation season. To meet minimumacceptable performance standards when irrigating, the worker must, aftera 10 day conditioning period, move an average of at least 48 40-footsections of 3-inch pipe or 44 40-foot sections of 4-inch pipe per hourunder normal working conditions. Duties related to the production ofLivestock will include the following: check physical characteristics,observe general condition of livestock and apply the appropriate care;examine animals to detect illness/injury/disease, rate of weight gain orto determine delivery time, assist in delivery; apply or administermedications, vaccines and/or insecticides; mix feed/additives andfeed/water livestock; place mineral blocks; drive equipment tohaul/distribute feed/water; herd livestock; clean/disinfect livestockcorrals/stalls/sheds; dock, castrate, brand, clip/tag and clamplivestock; maintain records on animals; hoist/stack bales of hay ontowagon/truck. Instruction, training and general supervision will beprovided by the farm operator or a designated employee. However, theworker must perform required duties without close supervision and listento, understand and follow simple instructions of the employer orsupervisor. All tools, supplies and equipment required to perform theduties assigned will be provided at no charge to the worker. The workerwill be required to return worn out supplies before new supplies will beprovided. Most duties are performed out of doors, and entail exposure toheat, cold, dust, rain and other environmental conditions common nfields, including mosquitoes during certain seasons. Worker must crouch,bend, lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds in the course ofperforming required activities
