Summary You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the VIRGINIA CLASS NEW CONSTRUCTION of PEO SSN. Responsibilities You will serve as the senior consultant and master advisor to the VIRGINIA Design AUKUS APM within PMS450X, the VIRGINIA Future Capabilities branch. You will provide joint new SSN design support to the AUKUS program as well as be part of the VIRGINIA future capability management team. You will provide authoritative programmatic expertise and will be the primary programmatic VIRGINIA stakeholder to the AUKUS program. You will manage design tasking that supports AUKUS-related excursions. You will be responsible for written and oral communications with external stakeholders regarding joint VIRGINIA-AUKUS design equities. You will have demonstrated experience and knowledge working in TEAMSUB program management and on the phases of submarine acquisition lifecycle. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (or GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer leading design projects to support modernization, construction, or maintenance activities of ships or submarines. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. Additional Information The NH-04 broadband is equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15 grade levels. This position has a control point; thus, the salary range for this position is capped at GS-15, step 05 which is currently equivalent to $185,824.
