  Currently ManTech is seeking a Functional Expert Consultant III (Tech Conference & Meetings and Strategic Communications) to join our team supporting our growing Defense Sector and Marine Corps programs.

  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  Recognized for strong expertise in industry issues and trends.

  Facilitate technical meetings and presentations and develop strategic communication, technical exchange, and informational materials for use in technical interchange meetings, scholarly publications, and organizational strategic planning and communication efforts related to the R&D.

  Utilize functional area expertise gained through direct industry experience to assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components.

  Uses in-depth consultative skills and business knowledge based on accumulated experience and education aligned to practice business objectives and processes.

  Perform pre-event planning, on-site coordination, and post-event activities for designated Government and interagency technical meetings, conferences, symposia, and workshops.

  Develop lessons learned based on this feedback for all technical conferences.

  Work with senior managers and executives to provide industry vision and strategic direction regarding their enterprise.

  Guide the determination of information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area’s ability to support/meet organizational goals.

  Generate functional area strategies for enhanced IT operations in a cross-functional area mode throughout the organization.

  Participate in account strategy sessions, strategic assessments, and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products.

  Experience:

  At least 12 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

  Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures.

  Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently performs a wide variety of complicated tasks.

  Provide consultation on complex projects and is the top-level contributor/specialist.

  Lead and direct the work of others.

  Report to an executive or director.

  Education:

  Bachelor's degree (+12 years of experience)

  Master’s Degree in related field preferred.

  Security Clearance:

  Active Secret Security ClearancePhysical Requirements:

  The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office.

  The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license. The applicant will be required to answer certain questions for export control purposes, and that information will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law.
