　　Currently ManTech is seeking a Functional Expert Consultant III (R&D Assessment) to join our team supporting our growing Defense Sector and Marine Corps programs.

　　Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

　　Recognized for strong expertise in industry issues and trends.

　　Conduct logistical and analytical R&D on materials to identify logistical problems and develop resolutions.

　　Utilize functional area expertise gained through direct industry experience to assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components.

　　Activities shall include developing analysis-based recommendations on the most efficient use of Government resources.

　　Perform R&D assessments, analyses, and AoAs to develop recommendations that strengthen defense industrial based solutions.

　　Uses in-depth consultative skills and business knowledge based on accumulated experience and education aligned to practice business objectives and processes.

　　Work with senior managers and executives to provide industry vision and strategic direction for the enterprise.

　　Guide the determination of information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area’s ability to support/meet organizational goals.

　　Generate functional area strategies for enhanced IT operations in a cross-functional area mode throughout the organization.

　　Participate in account strategy sessions, strategic assessments, and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products.

　　Experience:

　　At least 12 years of experience in defense industrial base or in a related area.

　　Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures.

　　Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently performs a wide variety of complicated tasks.

　　May provide consultation on complex projects and is the top-level contributor/specialist.

　　Lead and direct the work of others.

　　Report to an executive or director.

　　Education:

　　Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM field. Master’s degree in STEM field preferredSecurity Clearance:

　　The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

　　The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office.

　　The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
