Position Summary:
Students within their last semester of an accredited nurse anesthesia program may be considered, pending full licensure and credentialing upon hire.
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides anesthesia services for infant, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients across the health care continuum; coordinates peri-operative patient care in collaboration with all members of the health care team.

Working Conditions:
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment
Will work with blood or blood-borne pathogens and will require OSHA training
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
a. Completion of an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
a. Current Michigan Nursing License
b. Current Michigan Specialty License
c. Current Certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists
d. Current BLS and ACLS Certification
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITIES
a. Ability to problem solve, effective verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge about the care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
b. Physically capable of standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 30 pounds
