　　Your Role and Responsibilities

　　Data is the new currency. In an ever-increasingly connected world where the amount of data generated every day is exploding, in the wrong hands, this data can be used for malicious intent. As more systems are being built on the cloud, businesses are struggling to protect and monitor their data environment. The IBM Data Security team works to deliver leading edge products and solutions to help organizations analyze their data environment to make sound decisions to ensure regulatory compliance and improve their data security. The research and development in this area are critical to IBM and represent a huge opportunity for growth in terms of revenue uplift and technology advancement.

　　As a Performance Automation Developer, you are part of a highly focused, self-managed Agile team and will help design and develop a performance automation pipeline to reduce manual effort and increase productivity and efficiency of the work done by the performance team.

　　The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for solving problems, developing highly efficient automation and deployment pipelines, experimenting with new technologies, and developing their hobby applications.

　　In addition, the ideal candidate must also have a relentless desire for continuous improvement by learning new things, being a champion of new ideas, continually exploring new perspectives, and embracing going beyond their comfort zone even at the risk of failure or embarrassment.

　　Required Technical and Professional Expertise

　　Min 5+ years of IT experience

　　Proven programming experience, e.g. Golang, Python, Java

　　Proven experience with at least one modern web application framework

　　Familiar with protocols such as GRPC

　　Experience with automated infrastructure configurations and orchestration, e.g., Docker, Kubernetes

　　Experience with message/queue systems, e.g., Kafka, Event Streams

　　Experience with design and optimization of traditional and modern data stores/services, e.g., RDBMS, NoSQL, and Cloud Object Stores

　　Strong academic foundation in Computer Science or related fields: Data structures, algorithms, networking

　　Strong communication skills and able to convey ideas and opinions to others.

　　Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

　　Experience in enterprise-related development (multi-threading, scalability, performance)

　　Experience with CI/CD tools, e.g., Jenkins, Travis

　　Experience building applications on cloud infrastructure, e.g., private clouds, public clouds

　　Experience with unit testing frameworks

　　Experience working in an agile team, e.g., Kanban

　　Experience with databases like MongoDB and MySQL

　　Familiarity with continuous delivery and continuous integration
