Support flight and flight development projects as the focal engineer for Electrical, Electronics and Electromechanical(EEE) parts specification/parts utilization, obsolescence management, and database maintenance/usage for all part types listed in MSFC-STD-3012. Participation in NASA EEE Parts Community of Practice(CoP) and support including but natl limited to:. Maintenance of the obsolescence module of the Electronics Parts Application, Reporting, and TrackingSystem (EPARTS).. Perform obsolescence analysis of all EEE parts loaded throughout he Agency into the EPARTS database, which also includes continuous obsolescence monitoring and notification of project impact.. Participate in the biweekly EEE Parts Cop meetings.. Participate in the monthly EEE Parts BoP meetings.Candidate will be required to perform the following:. EEE Parts selection for NASA programs. Maintenance of EEE Parts requirements and specifications.. Maintain the obsolescence module of the Electronics Parts Application, Reporting, and Tracking System (EPARTS).. Perform obsolescence analysis of all EEE parts loaded throughout the Agency into the EPARTS database.. Support development of EEE parts lists reviews, testing, and analysis.
Job Requirements:An applicable degree in engineering or science is required. A degree from an ABET-accredited university is preferred. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a Ph.D., with a minimum 4 year of experience, MS with at least 8 years of experience, or BS with at least 10 years of experience.The following skills are required or desired as indicated:. Experience is required in EEE parts engineering, including parts obsolescence management, part utilization, database maintenance and usage is required..
