Description This Full Charge Bookkeeper opportunity has growth potential for a candidate who multi-tasks effectively and has strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Robert Half is hiring a Full Charge Bookkeeper, and you might be the perfect candidate. This short-term contract / temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper opportunity is based in Burleson, Texas. The role will be responsible for all general accounting and bookkeeping functions including the preparation of financial statements. You will also be establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives.
What you get to do every day
Ensuring monthly, quarterly and year end close happens accurately and on time
Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections
Overseeing work of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Assembling the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and income and cash flow statements
Maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on them, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
Preparing depreciation schedules by tracking fixed assets
Handling reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll
Carefully filing documents to preserve historical records Requirements - 5+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping
Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports
Experienced in accrual and cash basis of accounting
High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended
Excel and Peachtree experience a plusComprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks
Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Expertise in Quickbooks Online
Form 1099 experience
General familiarity with Individual Tax Return
Deep understanding of QuickBooks Pro
Adeptness in Annual Income Tax Provision
Demonstrated knowledge of Corporate Income Tax
Experience with payroll preferred
Show the ability to adapt and learn new techniques and skill sets when required
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
Strong time management and organizational skills
