Description There is an excellent opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper at Robert Half. If you excel at multitasking, communication, organization, and time management, this opportunity with the potential for growth could be for you. In this position, you will prepare financial statements; establish and maintain the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the organization; and handle all other general accounting and bookkeeping functions. Based in Van Nuys, California, the Full Charge Bookkeeper role is a short-term contract / contract to permanent opportunity.

　　How you will make an impact

　　Tracking fixed assets to produce depreciation schedules

　　Maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on them, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions

　　Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows

　　Handling bank and general ledger reconciliations, as well as payroll processing

　　Supervising accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

　　Ensuring correct and punctual monthly, quarterly and year end close

　　Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections

　　Carefully filing documents to preserve historical records Requirements - Previous experience with payroll preferred

　　Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

　　3+ years of experience in the bookkeeping field

　　Excel and Peachtree experience a plusHigh school diploma or similar accreditation, and an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended

　　Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment

　　A deep understanding of accrual and cash basis of accounting

　　QuickBooks experience

　　Can work independently with minimal supervision

　　Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports

　　Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
