Job Description:
The Reporting Supervisor gathers financial data to reflect the operating performance of the company’s business units (i.e., U.S. Domestic Small Package, International Package, Supply Chain Services, Air, and Freight). They consolidate financial data into reports for senior management review. They ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded for the FTIS department while working with outside vendors to verify correct billing for services and confirmation of work being completed. This position will also plan and track expense for the project team in Planview while working with other teams to ensure all spend is being recorded correctly.
Responsibilities and Duties
Identifies, resolves, and escalates issues and concerns with impact to monthly financial reporting.
Generates financial reports detailing the company’s operating performance by business unit to be included in monthly Business Plan Review books.
Verifies allocations with management of each business unit to ensure accuracy of data.
Identifies and explains variances (i.e., actual versus planned) to inform senior management of company performance.
Leads discussion with vendors to ensure correct billing for services rendered.
Budgets and records activity for projects within the Planview web tool.
Collaborates with BU team leads for accurate tracking of cost initiatives.
Creates custom queries and formulas to produce requested financial data (e.g., profit plan projections, prior month/year actual results, quarter outlook results, etc.) for senior management.
Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrates an in depth understanding of finance and accounting in regard to budgeting/tracking/analysis of expense.
Generates reports in appropriate format using basic software; review reports to ensure accuracy and completeness; identifies issues with report generation (e.g., missing variables, incorrect data, etc.)
Identifies business areas and stakeholders impacted by customer issues; engages appropriate resources to resolve internal/external customer issues; identifies root causes to ensure problems do not recur; stays motivated despite difficult circumstances or setbacks.
Builds and maintains relationships throughout a customer organization; makes recommendations regarding account decisions or strategies.
Experience with Longview/OneStream data management systems preferred.
Experience with COUPA (PO creation, invoicing) preferred.
Experience with Planview for project tracking (actual/plan) preferred.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Must have a bachelor’s degree (or internationally comparable degree) or are you a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience.
