JOB REQUIREMENTS: SUMMARY Loads, unloads, and moves materials within ornear plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES The essential duties for this jobinclude the following but other duties may be assigned. Read work orderand picks proper products Keeps production area running (make sure therooms are emptied out of finished product and the room is stocked withpallets and cardboard) Make sure incoming product is unloaded and hasall the appropriate paperwork Is responsible to make sure the cooler andfreezers are kept clean Reads work order and follows oral instructionsto ascertain materials or containers to be moved Open Containers Loadsand unloads material onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves byhand Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, orpadding to prevent shifting or damage to transit Conveys materials fromstorage or work site to designated area Counts, weighs, and recordsnumber of units of material or marks information on cases, bales, orother containers Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials ormarks information on cases, bales, or other containers Load truck forIndustrial Truck Operator Stacks or assembles materials into bundles andbands bundles together Removes samples of materials, labels withidentifying information, and takes samples to laboratory for analysisLifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and clean work areamachines and equipment to assist machine operator Makes simpleadjustments or repairs such as realigning belts or replacing rollersAssembles crates to contain products such as machines or vehiclesShovels loose materials such as sand, gravel, metals, plastic, orchemicals, into machine hoppers to put into vehicles and containers suchas wheelbarrows, scrap truck, or barrels.
