Job Summary Forklift Operator I is responsible forthe movement of material from inventory to production and back toinventory. Maintains correct paperwork and production records asrequired. Provides production departments with material from inventoryaccording to production schedule. Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesMoves material in process from one station to another if necessaryBands, wraps and/or packs finished goods, and labels material Movesfinished goods from production area to finished goods inventory yard orwarehouse Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needsProvides general preventive maintenance on equipment Completes pre-shiftstartup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concernsMaintains rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized andclean Completes production records as required Follows forklift rulesand policies as described by Company policy Participates in safety, CIand other programs and meetings Performs other duties as requiredQualifications Minimum 9th grade basic education, High school diploma orGED preferred but not required No minimum experience is requiredhowever, forklift driving experience is preferred Working knowledge ofbasic math and inventory techniques Successfully complete ForkliftDriver licensing process Must be at least 18 years of age The Company isan Equal Opportunity Employer.
