Additionally, they also focus on preserving native plants and ensuring sustainable timber harvesting.

  DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs an intern in this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of forestry resource management. You will get hands-on experience in surveying and marking timber sale boundaries and haul lines, measuring and marking trees, managing forest pests, maintaining deer fences, and working on regeneration projects. Plus, you will have the opportunity to participate in educational workshops and tours. It's a unique chance to learn and contribute to the world of forestry!

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time internship that will last from 5/1/2024 through 8/30/2024.Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSInternship Requirements:Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable majors:ForestryWildlife ManagementEnvironmental Resource ManagementAn approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable.Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)Freshman year completedPennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

  Additional Requirements:This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.You must be able to perform essential job functions.
