The State of New Hampshire, NH Fish and Game Department has a part time temporary vacancy for Park Guide I.
**Summary:Assists in a variety of programs at the Great Bay Discovery Center (GBDC) under the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. Presents interpretive programs for GBDC, provides administrative support for Reserve staff and serves as "staff on duty" during weekend hours May through October.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency credential.
Experience: No experience required; preference will be given to candidates with some experience in working with the public such as customer service.
License/Certification: Must possess a valid driver's license. Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the minimum standards as established by the agency.
PREFERRED WORK TRAITS: Some knowledge of the natural and cultural history of the Great Bay Estuary. Basic environmental knowledge. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to understand and follow guidelines and instructions. Ability to work with the public tactfully, courteously and effectively.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must work weekends May through October in an environment which includes exposure to continuous physical elements or difficult working conditions. Requires medium physical activity such as frequent walking, bending, or lifting. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties.
