The Football Creative Director will be a key member of Gopher Athletics' external staff and the football recruiting staff, leading digital recruiting content initiatives in order to distribute custom Gopher Football content to recruits across multiple platforms, including, but not limited to social, e-mail, web and mobile. The position will be a senior member of Gopher Digital creative staff but work within the Gopher Football program to maintain brand consistency with Gopher Athletics. The position will assist in all football recruiting and internal operations through creative design and content development. The position will be expected to work daily and develop strong relationships with the Football General Manager and all coaching and support staff members. This position will have direct managerial oversight of a full-time intern and multiple undergraduate student graphic designers. Job duties: 60% - Serve as primary Gopher Football recruiting and internal creative designer. Strategize creation and usage of all Gopher Football recruiting collateral. Attend all critical Gopher Football practices, meetings, events and games. 25% - Hiring and mentorship of full-time design intern and undergraduate student assistants. Delegation and scheduling of projects to achieve timelines established by football recruiting staff. 10% - Serve as senior member of Gopher Digital team, aligning all brand strategies and initiatives of the Athletics department with Gopher Football. Work closely with Creative team to achieve brand consistency.Work cooperatively to promote a healthy team atmosphere.Comply with all NCAA, University and compliance rules and regulations.Advance the department's mission, vision, and strategic plan, including its commitment to equity and diversity. 5% - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Required Qualifications: - BA/BS with at least one year of professional postgraduate experience. - Four years of professional video production experience (operating professional video cameras, video editing, motion graphics). - Expertise with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Experience creating finished graphics for print and web. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working closely with a NCAA Division I college football program or athletics department. - Experience creating motion graphics with Adobe After Effects.
