  What would I be doing?

  The Food & Beverage Lead provides general leadership and work direction of department team members, including but not limited to:

  The Food & Beverage Lead will organize and assign work

  Prioritizing workload and assignments to ensure orderly and efficient completion by department employees

  The Food & Beverage Lead will direct department employees in the successful completion of assigned work

  Enforcement of department and company rules

  The Food & Beverage Lead will be instructing and training department employees in the successful performance of their duties

  Other leadership and work direction duties as assigned by Supervision.

  Lead Persons do not perform supervisory tasks such as scheduling, discipline, performance reviews, hiring or terminations; although they may provide input to supervisors regarding such matters.

  Responsibilities

  (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for specific positions.)

  The Food & Beverage Lead will be polite and courteous when speaking with guests and team members. Look for and act upon opportunities to assist guests and team members. Be sincere and genuine during all interactions. Be prepared with the knowledge and skill required to be responsive to guests and team member’s needs and questions.

  Responsible for learning and being familiar with all of Favorite’s cashier functions, and for being able to answer general questions regarding the property.

  The Food & Beverage Lead will provide superior guest service by positively affecting interactions with guests and team members.

  Inform guests of restaurant specials, feature items and personal favorites.

  The Food & Beverage Lead will assist customers in the selection and purchase of menu items.

  Work in cooperation with other service personnel to provide a high quality of service.

  The Food & Beverage Lead will prepare a variety of food & beverage orders according to established recipes and outlet standards.

  Accurately account for and collect payment for all drink orders through POS system in a timely manner.

  The Food & Beverage Lead will ensure outlet is setup, maintained and stocked according to established standards, continuously making sure all areas are clean and organized.

  Use and maintain all assigned areas and equipment in a sanitary, safe and effective manner.

  The Food & Beverage Lead will maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, hours of operations, proper table set-up and dress code of the restaurant.

  Carry out duties with attention to detail, sanitation and safety.

  The Food & Beverage Lead will ensure dining and serving areas are set up and maintained according to standard.

  Responsible for ensuring proper cleaning and storage of dishware, utensils and equipment at the end of the shift.

  Responsible for all day-to-day activities in work areas to maintain service, product quality and cashiering responsibilities.

  The Food & Beverage Lead will maintain a well-groomed, neat and clean appearance.

  Observe and adhere to Health Department regulations regarding food handling, storage and cleanliness of work environment.

  The Food & Beverage Lead will abide by all State, State Gaming, Federal and Corporate liquor Regulations. Also pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.

  Participate in liquor glassware removal, ensuring compliance with all Ohio Gaming Commission regulations.

  The Food & Beverage Lead will limit problems related to guests’ excessive drinking by providing responsible alcohol service and applying any training from the responsible alcohol certification course.

  Possess the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and possess the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.

  The Food & Beverage Lead will perform all job functions in conjunction with the guidelines describes in the Standard Operating Procedures manual to ensure consistent execution of company and department standards.

  Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate guests

  Demonstrated money-handling and math skills

  Demonstrated ability to operate computerized cash register.

  These skills and abilities are typically acquired through at least 6 months on-the-job training or experience directly related to the accountabilities specified.
