As the longest established hospital in the southeast valley, Chandler Regional has provided care for the Chandler community since 1961. The hospital recently added a new five-story tower with 100 patient beds, increasing the acute-care bed count to 429. This expansion increased emergency and trauma services, as well as the surgical unit and intensive care offerings.

Responsibilities

Position floats between Chandler Regional Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center

At Dignity Health we prioritize the comfort of our patients, and we believe this begins with exceptional patient care. Our Patient Care Technicians are not just responsible for gathering patient information, assisting with meals, and tending to personal needs. They also hold a crucial position as a bridge between our patients and their care teams, playing a significant role in ensuring our patients' comfort and well-being.

What you'll do:

Your role as a Patient Care Technician is crucial as you contribute to the assessment of the health status of our patients. Your observations and actions can have a significant impact on their well-being, making you an essential part of our healthcare team.Communicates pertinent patient information to appropriate members of the treatment team with the direction of the Charge Nurse

Assist patients/families with light housekeeping duties such as assisting with meals or changing bed linens.

Report any changes in a patient's condition to the Nurse.

Qualifications

Minimum:

High school graduate or GED equivalent

BLS (American Heart Association)

Current CNA and/or EMT certification in good standing

Preferred:

Two (2) years acute care experience.

Previous experience with patient care module or PC

Pay Range

$18.38 - $25.28 /hour
