The role we are offering you:
Execute activities on simulator following CAE standard tasks backlog.
Analyze projects requirements and customize simulator configuration.
Hardware mechanical and electronics integration on various systems to ensure simulator functionality
Calibration of simulator instruments and systems
Debug and troubleshoot hardware mechanical and electronics problems
originating in both the flight training devices and facility.
Validate, Identify and document hardware issues electrical and mechanical designs using CAE standard hardware reports mechanisms (problem report , NCR …)
Organizes and schedules the hardware mechanical and electronics job of simulator parts.
Finish visual systems integration and setup that include video-projector, auto-calibration systems, projection screen parts.
Perform logistical/administrative duties as required
Responsible for simulator readiness for verification and validation
Respond to customers' training-related needs in a courteous and timely manner to ensure that flight training equipment is consistently reliable and available.
Act as main point of contact for Health & Safety-related matters while on customer site.
Support activities during customer acceptance and qualification phases
Shift work and international travel (approximately 50% to 75% of the year)
Our ideal candidate has:
University degree or technical diploma in mechanical/electrical/aerospace engineering; or equivalent experience
1-5 years of related experience
Good mechanical and electronics troubleshooting capabilities
Ability to manipulate software to debug, troubleshoot.
Knowledge of calibration of electro-mechanical systems.
Experience on simulator or real aircraft is an asset.
Makes technical decisions to resolve issues
Self-motivated, dynamic, team player with strong planning and organizational skills
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in technology
Demonstrate flexibility (working schedules, field trips location and duration, tasks) and strong project and assigned tasks ownership
French and English bilingual
Effective communication skills (spoken and written)
High level of customer focus and result-oriented.
Able to work under stressful situations and take appropriate actions, when required.
Knowledge of CAE standard hardware tools and processes related to XR simulator technology
Leadership to act as a test site supervisor on standard products with minimal supervision and guidance.
