About Firmware Engineer, Pixel Embedded System Kernel

  Minimum qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  7 years of experience working in development and testing of embedded systems.

  Experience with Android HAL and Kernel device drivers development.

  Experience with programming language in C or C++.

  Preferred qualifications:

  Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  10 years of experience in Android system software development or management.

  Experience working with hardware designers/reading schematics.

  Ability to communicate in English fluently.

  The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

  Develop and sustain the whole system software stack for Pixel devices.

  Develop Google SoC and the in-market devices system software sustaining.

  Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve the software quality.
