　　Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.

　　Day to Day Responsibilities:

　　• Take responsibility of kiln and handling (including kiln handling, green and fired handling) areas.

　　• Establish rigorous process control and discipline for daily firing process operations, including determining appropriate data collection, process monitoring, control methods, etc.

　　• Lead or provide appropriate support on process issues investigation and analysis, solutions and permanent corrective actions implementation.

　　• Direct firing process engineers to make continuous improvements and control process variation.

　　• Responsible for maintaining environmental protection conditions in the area in cooperation with the person in charge of environmental protection.

　　• Establish the process and criteria for firing operators and technicians’ training and certification.

　　• Hold reports accountable for adherence to established procedures and setpoints for process control.

　　• Control effective implementation of process or equipment changes.

　　• Plan, direct, or lead projects to ensure effective implementation – achieving objectives, completing on time and controlling budget.

　　• Provide immediate supervision to subordinates to execute assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.

　　• Review team performance and provide feedback to team members, and provide coaching as needed.

　　• Build effective relations and interactions with internal customers and stakeholders.

　　Education & Experience

　　• BS/MS degree in ceramics; Engineering for ceramic thermal or silicate processing is a plus.

　　• 5+ years working experience on process in related industry.

　　• 2+ years supervisory experience.

　　• Solid project management experience preferred.

　　• Ceramic and/or extrusion experience preferred.

　　• Work experience in multi-national companies preferred.

　　• Rational thinking of troubleshooting skill, experience of KT, DMAIC etc.

　　• Project management skills

　　• Have good understanding of ceramic manufacturing process and rich experience in product introduction and process improvement.

　　• Statistical analysis knowledge is required, for instance: PFMEA, hypothesis test, DOE, commonality analysis etc., MiniTab or JMP software experience.

　　• Fluency in oral and written English
