Under the supervision of the Fire Station Maintenance Coordinator, the employee performs a variety of semiskilled and skilled firefighting equipment maintenance and repair, including self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and rescue equipment and tools, ensuring the equipment meets National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) regulations. The employee maintains assigned fire trucks ensuring they are clean, fueled, and ready to respond to an emergency. The employee is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the fire stations in the City to include interior, exterior, and grounds maintenance. Employee conducts daily inspections of facility and maintains records of work; performs various building and grounds general maintenance work. Employee exercises independent judgment in completing assigned work. Work is performed in accordance with established rules, regulations, and instructions.
