Senior Fire Sprinkler Specialists perform inspections, testing, and minor repairs/maintenance on fire sprinkler systems and other water-based systems in accordance with all national and local standards. They also supply hands-on training and coaching to entry-level Inspectors. Why is this role so important? Our Senior Fire Sprinkler Specialists have specialized skills, knowledge surrounding state/federal regulations, and commitment to proper system functioning, which plays a critical role in safeguarding lives, property, and businesses from the devastating effects of fires.

As a Senior Fire Sprinkler Specialist, you will:

Provide inspection, testing, and service for wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire sprinkler systems; backflow preventers; water tanks; fire hydrants; foam-based systems; water mist systems; and fire pumps per NFPA 25 standards

Complete required documentation including deficiency repair recommendations

Provide subject matter expertise to peers

Discuss noted deficiencies, remedies, and pricing with customers and follow up on corrective actions

Follow and maintain highly structured inspection schedules

Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tests performed; generate reports within Siemens tools and upload to required city municipality websites

Perform service and deficiency repairs on all fire sprinkler system types

Complete service ticket documentation and inspection reports before leaving customer site

Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operation and routine inspections; assist with training

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

NICET Level I Certification in Inspection and Testing Water-Based Systems and/or state certification/license: State of Iowa Fire Protection System License with Automatic Sprinkler System Maintenance Inspection endorsement

Ability to read and understand design and construction documents

3+ years of experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Sprinkler Systems

Experience estimating impairment, deficiencies, and service repairs

Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet

Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted

Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or state-recognized GED

5+ years of experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Life Safety Systems

NICET Certification in Inspection and Testing Water-Based Systems Level II

The pay range for this position is $55,100 - $94,500 / year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
