Overview Egan is seeking Fire Alarm Service Technicians for opportunities in the Rochester, MN area. This is a union position with top-rate wages, healthcare, retirement, and vacation benefits. We are looking for independent, customer-service-oriented individuals who will consistently adhere to safety standards. Responsibilities The basic responsibilities of the Fire Alarm Service Technicianinclude but are not limited to the following: Service and repair specified electronic life safety systems and peripheral device Programming Fire Alarm Systems -- Notifier experience is a plus Assist with the start-up and commissioning of new equipment or system installation Train and instruct new users on a life safety equipment Work with dispatch coordinators to get service requests accomplished in a timely manner Completion of daily communications to the office and customer Position Requirements High School diploma or GED required Valid MN Power Limited Technician license NICET Certification is preferred (We can assist you in attaining this certification) Knowledge of Current NFPA 72 Code Effective interpersonal and customer service skills Presents a professional image both in personal and vehicle appearance Valid Driver's License 3 year Limited Energy JATC training or equivalent in time worked in the industry Current IBEW Member or willingness to join the local IBEW Qualifications Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds (alone) or 50 to 85 pounds with assistance (team) Ability to climb a ladder and work with heights Highly motivated and ability to multi-task Ability to work independently with limited supervision Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills Proficiency using hand and power tools associated with the job in a safe manner Good hand dexterity and strength Ability to work well with others Ability work overtime depending on workload Benefits Union Benefit Package Competitive pay Annuity retirement plan Pension Plan Medical/Dental/Vision plan Company vehicle Company stability Paid weekly OUR SUCCESS IS SHAPED BY THE STRENGTH OF OUR TEAM At Egan, our shared passion and pride are redefining the industry standard of customer care.
