OverviewManage the Financial Systems support staff while working closely with the Information Technology team and Leadership to ensure accurate data within key financial systems. Provide system administration, project tracking, application troubleshooting and end-user support. The primary responsibility will be system administration support of all Oracle financials modules and related reporting applications.
ResponsibilitiesProvide support of the Oracle Financials, Hyperion Essbase, Budgeting, Reporting and Source systems
Supervise staff of six (Financial Planning and Technology Manager, Financial Systems Support Supervisor, two Senior Financial Systems Analyst, one Financial Systems Analyst, and a temporary analyst)Partner with key business users to provide application overviews (including new functionality), assess automation opportunities and/or provide system training as neededFacilitate ongoing Production Support - including problem management. Includes logging tickets, status communication & escalation with application vendorTroubleshoot system errors, custom interface issues or accounting exceptions identified by financial usersTrack projects through life cycle management using the project tracking system to design, assess, analyze and test custom processes/reports within the financials applicationsOversee user requests submitted through the Service Desk ticketing system or the help desk lineCoordinate and manage projects related to the proprietary Oracle tool used in the Profit and Loss budgeting process including oversight of tool enhancements and maintenanceServe as liaison between functional users and information technology technical staffComplete testing efforts related to application patching, upgrades and modificationsEnsure accuracy in maintaining business reporting tool for financial reportingOversee the maintenance of the Chart of Accounts segment values, management and reporting hierarchies to ensure integrity across multiple systemsProvide Audit support for various groups (Internal audit and state agencies)
QualificationsEducation, Experience and Certification
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems requiredKnowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures, accounting concepts and Chart-of-Accounts design Strong functional knowledge of Oracle core financial modules and general ledger Progressive accounting experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
