　　Position Summary:We are hiring a Senior Accountant (London) reporting directly to the UK Country Controller within the BBS Financial Services Team based at Chiswick Park London. This position is eligible for hybrid telework after meeting a qualifying probationary period. The BBS Financial Services team provides services and support to Bechtel’s Global Business Units, Project Teams, and Offices around the world with regards to key accounting functions including Account Reconciliation, General Ledger, and local Operations Reporting. The team performs vital functions such as responding to PwC audits, preparing financial statements, and supporting vital local compliance for the UK entities. The candidate must have the ability to maintain a sense of urgency focusing on critical issues, be detail oriented and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.

　　Responsibilities :

　　Assist Regional Controller in implementation of regional or global priorities and initiatives

　　Assists Regional Controller in compliance issues and tax audits

　　Provide country level support to shared service centers and corporate departments to ensure end-to-end completion of work processes, compliance of UK entities under purview.

　　Establish controls for all accounting functions in accordance with established Bechtel policies and procedures, client requirements and applicable governmental regulations

　　Assist Country Controller in payroll review including tax and social impacts for changes in legislation

　　Leads team in Controller system review, design, implementation, support and procedure development

　　Provides country level support to shared service centers and corporate departments to ensure end-to-end completion of work processes, compliance and critical tasks

　　Prepares complex and specialized technical matters which pertain to financial reports and reporting according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or other regulatory requirements

　　Participates in tax forecasting and tax provision processes, computations and any special projects (reconcile local tax returns and prepare quarterly tax accruals)

　　Skills and QulificationsAccounting qualification with Degree, Diploma, part qualified ACCA, CIMA or similar.

　　Must have legal right to work in the UK.

　　Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and experience with Oracle would be considered advantageous.

　　Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work across cultures.

　　Self-motivated, works with minimal supervision, deadline driven.

　　EssentialAccounting qualification with Degree, Diploma, part qualified ACCA, CIMA or similar.

　　Must have legal right to work in the UK.

　　Good organisation skills and the ability to provide constant attention to detail.

　　Ability to simultaneously handle numerous tasks of varying complexity are critical to the role.

　　Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.

　　Ability to analyse financial data, provide early recognition of potential problems and provide effective and innovative thought processes in handling financials issues.
