Responsibilities You will serve as a Budget Analyst in the Headquarters Comptroller Division, Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC). You will coordinate with and provides guidance, advice, and support to Headquarters staff to develop and execute annual spend plans for specific programs of record. You will issue timely and accurate financial documents; actively monitors obligation rates and open commitments; maintains documentation in support of audit requirements. You will ensure compliance with fiscal law, financial management regulations, higher headquarters directives, and published policy. You will conduct financial analysis; facilitates resolution of errors and common problems within the financial system of record. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-12:Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: identifying, establishing or executing current and prior year funding to maintain annual spend plans and provide recommendations or solutions to budge execution issues; and provide guidance to program managers regarding fiscal laws, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to DOD funding requirements within a DoD financial system (ie. DAI). GS-11Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting with identifying, establishing or executing current and prior year funding to maintain annual spend plans and provide recommendations or solutions to budge execution issues; and provide guidance to program managers regarding fiscal laws, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to DOD funding requirements within a DoD financial system (ie. DAI). Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
