  Our Organization and Mission: The Office represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the Supreme Court of the United States.

  Pay: $ 50,000 - $54,000 Annually

  Position Summary: This position is in the Antitrust Unit. The duties and responsibilities of this position stem from enforcement of Chapters 501, 517 and 542 of the Florida Statutes, administrative rules of the Department, and other state and federal statutes and laws. The incumbent will work closely with attorneys to collect and analyze data from various sources to be used as evidence in complex civil investigations and litigations. The Financial Examiner/ Analyst II will also assist attorneys to prepare for document productions, depositions, and drafting of pleadings, investigative subpoenas and discovery requests and responses.

  Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, economics, business management, risk management and insurance or actuarial science is required; or f our (4) years of experience in accounting, finance, economics, business management, risk management and insurance or actuarial science.

  Preference may be given to candidates with:

  Experience analyzing financial statements.

  Experience in complex civil or criminal investigations.

  The Work You Will Do: The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  Review, analyze and evaluate reports, records and other financial data to determine whether a company or individual has violated the antitrust laws.

  Analyzes and evaluates business practices through review of financial records, tax records, accounting records, and general market data to make initial determinations of whether violations of state or federal antitrust laws may have occurred.

  Analyze financial statements, business records and transaction data to determine the financial health of a company.

  Analyzes governmental purchasing information and data, and periodically report orally or in writing regarding status of such information-gathering and analysis.

  Assists attorneys in preparation for document productions, as well as in the drafting of pleadings, investigative subpoena, and discovery requests. Drafts inquiries for information to other law enforcement agencies and responds to requests for information. Attends depositions as needed.

  Assist in the preparation of depositions.

  Provides accurate and timely status updates.

  Performs other duties as assigned.

  Note:This position may require extended hours and/or travel outside the worksite.
