Summary: The Financial Data Analyst is an integral role in the design, testing, implementation, and evaluation of reports across the Company. This role will work closely with business stakeholders to determine reporting requirements. The Financial Data Analyst is responsible for the technical tasks such as preparing data maps, queries, design documents, and building the reports to meet business requirements.Core Functions:
• Work with multiple departments including Sales, Operations, Logistics, and Purchasing to determine key reporting requirements• Create effective PowerBI reports to drive improvement in the Company’s operational and financial metrics• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of reports to ensure accuracy, usability, and adherence to business requirements• Provide training and support to report end-users to maximize the effectiveness of PowerBI reports• Establish a reporting governance program to cultivate & prioritize new report requests while also maintaining & re-assessing existing reports• Prepare documentation of the data structure and design elements for critical reports and processes• Create custom SQL tables and automate data transformation steps to facilitate the Company’s forecasting processes• Provide technical support for the Finance & Accounting departments with the Company’s ERP systemKey Measures of Success:

Education & Experience: Minimum Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business or related field• Expert in data visualization best practices with a high level of proficiency in PowerBI report building (3+ years)• Experience in building reports & delivering business solutions (5+ years)• Solid understanding of SQL and able to write complex queries (5+ years). • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (5+ years)• Strong knowledge of financial data and KPI’s• Familiarity in working with a variety of business processes (Sales, Operations, Logistics, Purchasing, Finance, etc.)
Preferred:• Experience with Python is a plus.• Experience with Power Query is a plus.Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment. This role will routinely utilize standard office equipment to perform the core functions listed in this job description. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies as well as communicate verbally and electronically.
