　　Position Summary

　　Reporting to the Director of Academic Admin & Finance (DAAF), the Financial Assistant provides financial support and other support services for the Department of Psychology. The incumbent assists in the day-to-day financial activity of the Department of Psychology. The Financial Assistant processes financial and payroll transactions via the University's ARC and FINSYS processing systems.

　　Responsibilities

　　The incumbent acts as liaison with Service Now ARC ticketing system to resolve problems for vendors and payees, including faculty, students, staff and visitors. Daily, the incumbent monitors the status of vendor creation requests, purchase requisitions, and invoices in ARC and corresponds verbally and in writing with Service Now ticketing system on problem invoices, creation of vendors, voided checks and related matters.As a P-card Holder, the Financial Assistant completes purchases and reconciles P-Card transactions.The incumbent processes Work-Study and casual payrolls, as well as additional compensation for faculty and graduate students.The Financial Assistant assists in the preparation of financial reports and transactions for Offices of Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA), Sponsored Projects Finance (SPF), and Restricted Funds as needed. The incumbent coordinates departmental risk management program.The incumbent assists in monitoring budgets and maintaining financial reports for faculty grants and research accounts, faculty searches, student organizations, and travel grant budgets.The incumbent assists the DAAF in monthly reconciliation of accounts, annual fiscal closing, and researches and resolves problems with open commitments and overdrafts.The incumbent coordinates Arts & Sciences departmental reimbursement programs.The incumbent maintains petty cash, deposits cash, check reimbursements, and gifts using gift transmittal forms.Performs other administrative duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications
