You will act as a finance business partner for the Central HQ functions in the EEMEA region. You will own planning, closing and tracking of SGA of central functions. Ensuring accurate reporting, PL closing, as well as submission of forecast, AOP and Strat Plan.

You will be a key person for reporting activities, development of new reporting capabilities and business process improvements.

EEMEA is a rapidly evolving region so the scope of the role may evolve in the future.

You will make an impact by:

Planning – advising key stakeholders (e.g., Budget owners like Sales directors, marketing director, Commercial Operation director....) how to generate solutions to obtain necessary resources within budgetary constraints, including identifying opportunities and mitigating risks

Business Reporting and Analysis – assessing report data (e.g. month-end closing report, quarter-end year-over-year sequence reporting, headcount reporting, trend analysis, planned and forecast variance analysis, etc.) to identify opportunities for course correction/course alignment, writing justification for variances, working closely with Finance Business Partners to coordinate forecast and closing activities and processes

Month-End Closing - assisting team in cost center finances including journal entries, reviewing financial measures, providing guidance and advice regarding cost center performance, and develop BU specific reports (e.g., commission support, customer rebates)

Compliance – assisting team in ensuring Edwards compliance by applying knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., Sunshine Act, SOX, GAAP financials, SEC, IRS)

Special Projects – providing basic ad hoc reporting and analysis, leading process and system enhancement projects

What you’ll need:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field and min. 7 years of previous related experience

FPA experience highly preferred

Fluent English

Experience working in a fast-paced (and ideally corporate) environment, experience with the EEMEA region is a plus

Extensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)

Extensive understanding of multi-relational impact if the Balance Sheet, PL, and Cash Flow Statement and how journal entries affect each statement

Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Qlik), financial systems, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, Oracle)

Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

Ability to master the details while still being able to communicate on the big picture /key messages

Strong business acumen ideally about industry
