The Finance Manager Works toward meeting the program\'s strategicpriorities by developing and coordinating tactics for approved plans andcompleting day-to-day tasks. The Finance Manager prepares financialreports for donors and manages the overall finances of initiatives incoordination with the project managers and workstream leads. The FinanceManager generates and analyzes monthly financial reports and data fromthe general ledger and other ad hoc financial reports, such as LaborDistribution Reports and monthly contract reports, and tracks spendingrates. The Finance Manager ensures proper coding of expenses and thatinvoices are submitted and paid. The Finance Manager may review thefinancial reports of award sub-grantees. The Finance Manager preparesand delivers quarterly financial results and manages the project\'sforecast database and financial modeling. They prepare long-termfinancial sustainability analysis identifying funding needs and gaps,primarily on FTEs. They manage in coordination with in-region peers FTEsdatabase, tracking projected allocation of the team across multiplesources of funds. They actively participate in grant proposals,including renewals and budget preparation. They prepare accounting formsand reports; such as journal entries, cash receipt recordings, andadjustments, including payment of invoices which may include review ofexpense reports. They support contract/grant management processes forprivate funding and ensure compliance with TNC policies and procedures.They reinforce consistency in the organization\'s policies andprocedures and provide support related to the relevant field. They mayparticipate in complex negotiations and assist in internal audits. Theycan handle confidential payroll information of staff. They willcollaborate with finance peers in other geographies, particularly LatinAmerica. This position may mentor other finance staff working on theproject. They contribute to annual and multi-year budget planning perorganizational guidelines. Some travel may be required, as well asflexibility with working hours.
WHAT YOU\'LL BRING
Bachelor\'s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, orrelated field and four years of related experience or equivalentcombination.
Experience with relational databases and creating/managing moderate tocomplex Excel spreadsheets, workbooks, and financial models.
Technical experience with general accounting practices and grants/awardaccounting issues.
Experience using accounting and financial reporting systems andpreparing customized reports.
Experience with regulations related to grants and contracts.
Experience with PowerPoint presentations to give cross-functional teamfinancial presentations about the project.
Experience working with cross-functional teams across multipleorganizational levels.
Experience working independently and jointly with colleagues on a team.
Experience in full-cost budgeting.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Fluency in Portuguese is highly desirable.
Non-profit accounting experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ease relating to diverse clients.
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
Experience in manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting data.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

SALARY INFORMATION
This position may be based in any country where TNC has an establishedentity, taking into consideration legal restrictions, such asnon-national ratios and immigration processing times. For U.S. basedapplicants only, the starting pay range for this position in Arlington,VA is generally within the range of \$81,800 - \$110,600 for annual basesalary and is based on location, qualifications, specific skills, andexperience. This range only applies to candidates whose country ofemployment is the USA. For all other applicants, pay ranges will be inlocal currency, the pay range will be based on the local labor market,and not tied to the above pay range.
