Position : Finance & Compensation Analyst
Location : Honolulu, HI
Job Purpose :
This position is responsible for providing key financial analysis, cost analysis, budgeting/planning, forecasting, and ad hoc special projects, including business case development for operations departments. Depending on the operations department supported, this position could be responsible for revenue and/or expense budgets as well as the administration of compensation plans for the organizations supported. This position has a significant impact on the quality and effectiveness of the organization's financial plans and business decisions. The Financial Analysts must work as a team member to ensure that others have the tools and knowledge required to make both financial and operational decisions.
Essential Functions :
Manage monthly financial and operational reporting process, deliver monthly analytical reports of financial and operational performance to management (35%)
assist in the design and lead implementation of the sales compensation plan of relevant support organization (35%)
Analyze and proactively compare the budget with actual expenditures and resolve any discrepancies. (15%)
Assist with creating annual budgets, long-range planning, and completing monthly forecasts (10%)
Special projects as needed, such as business cases and other models/analysis (5%)
Education :
Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Relevant Work Experience :
3 to 5 years of work experience with a range of financial analyses and modeling including discounted cash flow, cost/benefit, valuation, and sensitivity analyses Experience analyzing monthly financial results and performing in-depth financial analysis Business Case Development Budgeting/Planning Experience working with management to set and achieve goals and assist in the development and input of assumptions for forecasts and budgets Experience developing and presenting performance reports to management enabling them to leverage and maximize financial results and sales efficiency
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Thorough knowledge of financial concepts. Thorough understanding of the financial information systems such as Hyperion Enterprise and ESSBASE used to establish and track budgets, to run customized queries in order to extract financial detail and to provide timely financial reports to client groups Ability to make recommendations including expense controls, capital management, and pricing Excellent written and oral communication skills Detail-oriented Proficient with PCs for analysis and modeling Creative thinking, economic, and analytical skills Results-orientedSupervisory Responsibility :
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities
Work Environment :
Operations annual expense budgets range from $5M - $80M
Salary Range: $70,000 - $105,000
