Reporting to the Finance and Business Support Manager, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Finance function of the hotel. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment and ensure consistent and accurate data/record-keeping.
This role is on a part-time, 2 days-a-week basis with occasional additional hours (based on mutual agreement and business needs).

A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
Carrying out stocktaking in the Food & Beverage department as part of month end activities
Reconciling supplier statements and following up on missing invoices
Reconciling purchase orders with supplier invoices
Assisting in maintaining internal controls
Assisting with Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable functions
Providing ad hoc day-to-day support to the Finance function
What we need from you:
Knowledge of Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable functions
Previous experience with purchase order reconciliation
Excellent skills in POS and hotel PMS systems; experience with Opera and Infrasys would be an advantage
High level of competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point and ability to quickly learn new systems
Excellent presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong time management capability and the ability to both adapt and prioritise work under pressure
Demonstrated experience dealing with confidentiality and data privacy
Tertiary qualified and/or studying an Accounting/Finance related bachelor’s degree or higher qualification/equivalent
A passion for and familiarity of the hotel industry
Flexibility on working days during month end activities
You must have full working rights in Australia
