　　MSU Denver enrolls over 16,000 students, where nearly 60% are firstgeneration and over 55% are students of color. 　　Responsibilities

　　Teach three to nine credit hours. Areas to be covered include: ManagerialFinance, Principles of Investments, Personal Financial Planning and othercourses, particularly in the area of Real Estate as needed.

　　Be available for consultation with students.

　　Will work and interact with diverse groups of individuals includingotherdepartment faculty and Department Chair.

　　As the department is becoming increasingly oriented to online and hybriddelivery systems, successful experience with electronic LMS (inparticular, Canvas) is a plus.

　　An affiliate faculty member's duties include but are not limited to:teaching assigned classes in person or online by delivering course content tostudents, preparing course materials and lesson plans, grading studentwork, providing students with robust feedback in a timely manner,addressing student questions consistent with university, college/school,and department policies, and providing online or in person academic supportto students as needed and appropriate for the teaching assignment; providinginstruction in assigned classes consistent with the content and learningobjectives of the regular course syllabus and, if required, withdepartment course coordination policies; maintaining office hours;andcomplying with university-wide student evaluation of instruction policies andp

　　Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　PhD in Finance or ABD with dissertation complete, defense pending

　　Terms of Employment

　　Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a percredit hour basis for specific classes, usually on a semester-by-semesterbasis. Affiliate faculty are not eligible for benefit coverage under theUniversity's benefit program. All such teaching assignments are dependent onbudget and enrollment.
