JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the effective staffing of Field data collection projects in collaboration with the Research and NORC People organizations. Prepares staffing plan 12 months in advance of project launch while coordinating activities across multiple simultaneous staffing efforts. Develops a trained team of recruiters and monitors compliance with NORC policies. Establishes appropriate measurement systems and dashboards to track staffing effectiveness, including trends in staff attrition. Conducts periodic competitive analysis to understand industry trends in compensation and benefits. Recommends investment projects to increase process effectiveness and efficiency.

DEPARTMENT:

Field Operations helps coordinate work and facilitate contacts across projects and departments. We prepare budget estimates and contribute technical text for proposals.  Members of the field management team recruit and assign interviewers to projects.  We assist with project planning and goal setting. Field Managers lead trainings and assist with training preparations. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create long-term project plan for all field data collection projects in collaboration with research and NORC Talent Acquisition team

Partner with Field Project Manager to create staffing plans.

Maintain staffing database to identify and engage alumni for future projects.

Coordinate field interviewing team trained according to NORC People policy.

Facilitate weekly status meeting across Field, NORC People, and Research teams.

Coordinate onboarding process and materials

Collaborate with Total Rewards team to complete periodic pay and benefits analysis of the industry

Review staff attrition rate trends and recommends improvement programs

Maintain schedule of upcoming projects

Collaborate with NORC People contacts to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines

Participate in ongoing coaching sessions to ensure awareness of updates and policy changes

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Experience using an Applicant Tracking System

Previous experience managing people and teams

A minimum of three years’ experience in related field

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

All employees hired for this position must present evidence of their identity and authorization to work in the United States (I9 documentation).

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

The pay range for this position is $65,000 - 98,000.

This position is classified as regular. Regular staff are eligible for NORC’s comprehensive benefits program. Benefits include, but are not limited to:
