Job Description:The primary purpose of this role is to deliver technical training to internal and external customers onsite at customer locations throughout the Americas. Provide a variety of technical expertise, operating, service advice, and training to customers using diesel, gas, electric, and hand-operated personnel and material lifting equipment manufactured by the company. Train internal experts on technical and proprietary aspects of Genie equipment.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork directly with customers and sales, to develop learning plans, conduct in-service training, and explain technical concepts to othersDeliver webinars and Online Instructor-Led coursesSell training as a service and meet annual revenue goalsProvide a High Level of Transactional QualityAlign customer experience with Global Training StandardsMaintain an expert level of knowledge on all Genie products and control systemsMaintain alliance with Global Training Team MembersPartner with Engineering, Product Support, Product Management, and Technical Publications to maintain the accuracy of curriculum and outwardly visible mediaRequires 85% travel. Must be available for global travelRequired QualificationsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsHigh School Diploma or equivalentExpert technical competency in electronics, hydraulics, Genie proprietary systemsHigh energy and positive attitudeWorks independently and with a global team5+ years within a Technical Services businessValid driver's license, clean driving record, and valid passportMust have a complete understanding of global machine compliance/standards and their application to Genie productsProficiency in CAD, graphic or publishing software along with Microsoft OfficeRequires a high working knowledge of all safety standardsRequires expertise and continuous education of Genie equipment and proprietary control system technologyAbility to present information to large or small groups, and communicate professionally to customers and team members in writing and verballyProficiency in training delivery aligned with adult learning methodsRequires expertise in mechanical (engines, drives, etc.) electrical (circuits, control panels, loads), and hydraulic (actuators, pumps, pressures) systemsRequires a working knowledge in the usage of common hand tools, handheld power tools, and portable air toolsAbility to deal with difficult, frustrated, or impatient students both in class and out in the fieldRequires use of SMS and LXP for scheduling, communications, and global visibilityPreferred QualificationsSix years of experience and factory-sponsored training in the heavy (e.g., construction, material handling, farm) equipment environment; preferably Aerial Work PlatformsExperience in the manufacture of construction equipmentExperience in conducting classroom and hands-on training in an adult learning environmentExperience with technical training material and e-learning development, working with an LMS or LXP platformExperience with Service Management SystemExperience with CAD or 3D modeling softwareThe compensation range for this position is $79,000- $92,000 annually.
