Our products and services are used in a wide range of industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, medical device, oil and gas, chemical, and environmental applications.We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team and provide proficient technical support for our customer requirements through training, repair, PM maintenance and/or startup assistance of new and existing instruments.This role includes the following responsibilities:Perform in-house troubleshooting, repair and testing on customer instruments, as required, in a timely and accurate mannerAssist others in performing in-house and/or in-field troubleshooting customer's instrumentsComplete and summit accurate "Instrument Repair Log" document including; Diagnosis, Estimate of Repairs and Description of Repair for each instrumentProvide technical and operational support to customer using phone, fax and emailProvide customers with SRF (Service Request Form) when in-house repair is requiredKeep informed and maintain competence level of knowledge in new or improved methods, techniques and advanced maintenance proceduresKeep appropriate MOCON management personnel informed of customer issues and/or technical problemsWork with other departments to support the customer baseInterface with customers to confirm scheduling and requirements for in-field services at the customer's siteOther duties as assigned by LeadershipRequirements:Requires basic knowledge of electronicsAbility to use test equipment such as oscilloscopes and volt metersExcellent organization, documentation, and prioritization skillsEffective internal/external communication skills with a strong customer orientation and attention to detailMotivated, team player that can also work independentlyPhysical requirements of the role:Performance of job functions requires continual repetitive effort, resulting in moderate to heavy exertionInvolves lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting overhead on a regular basisRequires strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsThis role will require up to 50% National and International travel to perform Startup Assistance, Validation or other in-field services in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
