　　As a Field Service Mechanic B, you are an experttechnician and will assume asupport role in product knowledge and standards of quality within the branch .You will serve as a valued resource for utilizing your mechanical expertise toensure Herc fleet remain in proper operating condition on our customerjobsites, at all times. Field Service Mechanics are dispatched to localjobsites at various times of the day and work independently without directsupervision. 　　Responsibilities

　　Oversee and conduct oil changes, lubrication of equipment, tirereplacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and assorted servicesDiagnose and repair heavy equipment as required to ensure proper operatingcondition at the job siteDiagnose and troubleshoot fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulicsystems and propane systemsRecondition and replace assorted parts to return equipment to a safelyfunctioning stateEducating customers on proper use of equipment to avoid future breakdownsAnalyze problem areas for any significant wear or tear and address to ensureproper usage of the equipment until your next scheduled visitAdhere to all safety guidelines posted at active jobsite where repairs andmaintenance are completedMaintain work area on jobsite in a clean and organized mannerProduce timely and detailed service reports and repair logsFollow all company's filed procedures and protocolsBuild positive relationships with customersPerform additional duties as assigned

　　Ability to understand detailed technical schematics, owner manuals, andproduct warning labelsOwnership of sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to completemost repairs and servicesAbility to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts,compressors, portable and stationary generators, hydraulics, pumps andassorted tools and equipmentAbility to be on call to support operational needsA valid driver's license
