  Collins Aerospace is seeking for a Field Service Engineering Representative to support the Advance Battle Management Systems (ABMS) for the U.S. Air Force (USAF). The FSR who would be responsible for software support, system administration and maintenance of all systems required for the ABMS operations and able to operate/interface with multiple networks and always keep the system fully mission capable. The FSR will also provide technical and engineering software and system support through the operation process and interact face to face with the customer daily.

  The position is based onsite in Richardson, TX and a Secret Security Clearance is required.

  This is a Mission Essential (ME) position, and the selected individual must be qualified to support operations under a variety of conditions and impending or active hostilities. In addition, the position supports a USAF worldwide deployable program so the selected individual must have the flexibility to deploy with customer for short notice field assignments. Assignment durations may vary with mission requirements. Candidate must be willing and able to get all inoculations, including the Anthrax Vaccine and the Smallpox vaccine, required by the US military.

  Primary Responsibilities :

  Ability to configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware, and software systems.

  Ability to proactively identify and resolve operational, tooling and process inefficiencies.

  Pre-mission responsibilities.

  Work rotating shifts, as required.

  50% travel and long working hours maybe required (CONUS/OCONUS).

  Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  Systems Administration experiencing working with UNIX, preferably Solaris.

  Must possess and maintain DoD 8570.1 (IAT Level II or IAM Level I) certification.

  Experience with AWS, Networking, VPNs, IaaS, PaaS, SQL, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and Guacamole (from an administration and troubleshooting perspective).

  Knowledge and experience working with DevSecOps tool chains.

  Experience preparing technical documentation.

  Experience working in a team environment with the ability to mentor junior team members.

  Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

  Active and transferable DoD Secret security clearance prior to start date.

  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Possess a strong Jira/Confluence and agile team participation experience (ideally scrum master training).

  The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

  This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
