Field Service Engineer C-130/E-2 Props- (Remote)
Collins Aerospace is looking for a Field Service Engineer (FSE) in support of C-130 and E-2 Propulsion systems within our Collins Aerospace Propeller Systems Service Engineering Department in Windsor Locks CT. This one of the most rapidly growing facilities across the company. This position requires a highly motivated individual who can identify issues and is able to drive action in the development, planning, and assisting in the implementation of timely and effective corrective actions for field issues involving propeller control systems and products in both military and commercial arrangements. The FSE is expected to help drive special investigations internally and with partners, gather field data, and assist in root cause analysis and corrective action plans for implementation. The process includes data gathering (field reliability, operator use, maintenance concept and practices), analysis, coordinating special investigations, product testing, strong customer and Collins engineering interface, and corrective action implementation.
The individual will effectively engage all aspects of engineering departments, suppliers, Collins MRO, program management and C-130H operators. The individual will work with technical publications for initiation, planning, and coordination of Service Bulletins, Service Information Letters, Action Items, and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM). In addition, will assist the Customer Response Center (CRC) to address in-service technical/AOG issues in an appropriately responsive manner for assigned aircraft systems and products. Candidate must develop effective technical support solutions with strong ability to communicate at all levels (executive to technician). The Propeller Systems Service Engineering function acts as the "Voice of the Customer" for promoting positive change to our products and processes. Preparation and presentation of functional issues and familiarization maintenance training to airline operators is a responsibility of this position. The service engineer will be asked to support presentation preparation steps.
Travel expectation up to 50% or more as needed, this may include long term international deployments.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support On site presence with the Int’l customer to understand their challenges, troubleshoot and correct issues.
Provide on the job training (OJT) and create a positive customer experience for the products
Support USAF and NCAR troubleshooting requests and field support questions
Support channel partner and integrator partner requests and projects
Support product installs, post installation verification tests, and site surveys
Support review/improvements of CMMs, technical manuals including NP2000 field manual development
Development of enhanced and/or additional field repairs that would increase component life.
Support product and process improvements for both company and customer
Additional support to the Props Customer Training Center as needed (54H60 & NP2000 expertise)
Provide field support, operator experience to internal team, and provide additional fleet reach-back
Basic Qualifications
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
Experience working on military programs (Maintenance, publications, supervision, analysis, or engineering)
Experience working with technical orders (T.O.) or Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM)
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred Qualifications:
C-130 maintenance/Aircraft experience
54H60/NP2000/Electronic Prop Control systems familiarity
Propeller Maintenance experience.
Military Aircraft maintenance experience and prior Field Service experience
Experience with Aerospace/Military Maintenance Manuals
Ability to develop effective technical support solutions with strong ability to communicate at all levels (executive to technician)
Ability to act as the "Voice of the Customer" for promoting positive change to our products and processes
Experience in Preparation and presentation of functional issues and familiarization maintenance training
SAP or ERP experience is a plus
Experience in the use of typical Microsoft Office programs such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Explorer

In compliance with Connecticut Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $75,000 - $161,000 however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
