  About the opportunity:

  As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a leading role in supporting the onsite technical needs of Epredia customers. In this highly autonomous role, you will spend the majority of your time with the customer, with travel up to 5 days a week as part of a national service team. No day or week will look the same, and your work will have a direct impact on patient outcomes.

  What you will be doing:

  Provide installation support, preventative and corrective maintenance, modification and repair of mechanical, electronic, and/or electromechanical instruments in the Epredia portfolio.

  Manage service call scheduling, parts inventory and administrative responsibilities

  You will be responsible for customer relationship management, written documentation of service activities, and effective interaction and communication with internal technical support personnel, manufacturing, and sales.

  Provide periodic reports to management including compilations of customer complaints, trend analyses, and suggestions for improvement.

  Provide on-site product installation and customer training, on an as-needed basis.

  What you need for success:

  Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Degree is preferred

  2+ years of Field Service experience in the medical device field

  Basic understanding of hand tools, including multimeters and measuring devices.

  Ability to read, interpret, and analyze schematics, assembly drawings, and wiring diagrams.

  Practical experience with diagnosing and resolving problems with electronic and mechanical instrumentation.

  Familiarity with Anatomical Pathology Instrumentation, optical instrumentation, networking instrumentation, and Laboratory Information Systems is highly preferred

  Must possess a valid driver’s license.

  Up to 80% travel may be required to meet customer need
